MCA SCV2 Commercial Coding

All UK Charter Vessels in commercial use, up to 24 metres load line length, which go to sea and carry no more than 12 passengers and/or cargo, are required by law to comply with the MCA SCV2 (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) Small Commercial Vessel and Pilot Boat Code of Practice and be issued with Certificates by an Authorised Certifying Authority. (CA)

Interface Marine is authorised via the IIMS (CA) for the MCA to carry out Coding examinations on Charter Yachts under 24 metres for the MCA SCV2 Code of Practice of small commercial vessels, we can assist and guide you throughout the process, just give us a call or drop us a line….

Tonnage Measurement for British Registration

Interface Marine are accredited surveyors for UK and all Red Ensign Group registries through the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) Certifying Authority.

Once you have decided to register your yacht or boat, we will visit and measure your vessel and complete the necessary documentation to verify your vessel’s unique identity (Tonnage Survey). The documents are forwarded to the IIMS (CA) to check the tonnage certificate, and to forward to the Flag State registrar for the issue of your Certificate of Registration. Not quite as simple as registering a car but we are here to guide and assist!
